The “Thoughts from Everyone” series is a collection of discussions and analyses of the current system contributed by other transit fans that I personally find interesting. For a full index with ideas on all topics, see here.
This post includes discussions and analyses of transit in several neighborhoods in southwest Boston: Jamaica Plain, Forest Hills, Roslindale, West Roxbury, and nearby regions. Many such discussions involve the Orange Line, the Needham Line, and possibly a proposed extension (reactivation) of the Green Line’s E branch.

Possible Millenium Park Infill Station (Needham Line)
The (modern) idea of an infill station at Millenium Park was first mentioned in any official capacity by the City of Boston in March 2024, which I have documented here. This section describes other people’s opinions on this real-world proposal.
Discussions of Millenium Park infill (F-Line to Dudley and others, March 2024), and earlier/later comments
- F-Line discusses several aspects of the infill: Conversion to Orange Line platforms; Choice of 1-track vs. 2-track station; Estimated low demand for the station, compared to alternatives like buses; Possible layover tracks beyond the station for eventual Orange Line conversion.

Former Mount Hope Commuter Rail Station (Northeast Corridor) and Its Chances of Revival
[Crosslink] Mount Hope was a former commuter rail station on the Northeast Corridor near Blakemore St. Several discussions of Hyde Park station that I listed here, particularly the 2018 discussion and the 2024 discussion, mention ROW width challenges of reinstating the station nearby, and its incompatibilities with a quad-track Northeast Corridor.
