Buses

Garage Rebuilds and Bus Electrification

MBTA is currently preparing for the launch of battery-electric buses (BEBs) as part of the Bus Electrification Project. Correspondingly, it is planning rebuilds and renovations of all bus garages to include charging equipments.

Future Planning of Facilities

Layover Facility Alternatives Analysis (2013)

Status: Alternatives Analysis (AA) complete

In March 2013, MassDOT did an Alternative Analysis (AA) on commuter rail layover facilities, as part of the South Station Expansion project.
